Murphy Chalet FSBO...

asking $299,900

This Cedar Chalet was designed and built in April 2005 and is being sold fully furnished.  It is on a paved, dead-end road. Property goes down to the Nottley River 200 feet below the Chalet. The river is over 70 feet wide and is great for trout fishing.  We have installed steps all the way to the river (with over 100 feet of river bank). From the deck you have a year around view of distant mountain peaks. At sunset we have seen several Canadian Geese, deer, and turkeys come out or land in a large field across the river.

The Chalet has 3 bedrooms and 3 baths, and almost 2300 sq ft.  The basement walls are 8 inch poured concrete.  All bedrooms have a view of the river. The master bedroom has a sliding glass door that leads to a covered area on the deck that has a table and chairs (for morning coffee or smoke).  We have recently put in a new King bedroom set in the master (that is negotiable in the price). The upstairs bedroom (king bed) has its own private deck. The large family room has two sliding glass doors and a window that provide a fantastic view without going outside. We have put new furniture in the living room and it is negotiable).  A stone rock fireplace with gas logs is at one end of this room. The dining table can be extended for seating six and two bar stools provide additional seating on the back side of the cabinets.

The basement has a bedroom (double bed) a bathroom, a sitting area with gas log fireplace, a sofa bed a card/game table and a full size pool table and TV. Two single roll-away beds are also available in the basement. A double glass door opens onto the lower covered deck with a swing. A six person Hot Tub is on this deck with a great view of the river. Thirty feet below lower deck is a fire pit with panoramic view of river. A sun deck is 20 feet below the fire pit.

The cabin is situated between the Cherokee and Nantahala National Forest areas that offer an outdoor paradise. Nearby attractions are Lake Nottley with boat rentals and boat ramp only 5 miles away. Lake Hiwassee is about 12 miles, Anna Ruby Falls, Georgia (three-fourths hour), Appalachian Trail (two-thirds hour), Alpine Village of Helen, Georgia (two hours), Atlanta, Georgia (one-and-one-half hour), and Cherokee Indian Reservation (two hours).  Two rivers are within 20 miles for rafting and kayaking.  A large Flea Market is three miles away. A new golf course is 6 miles away. Another course in Murphy is about 10 miles away and has a nice restaurant. Two others are within 20 miles.  A new gambling casino will open in Murphy N.C. in 2015.
